I am researching the family line of DURRANT and have come to a full stop. There is a connection to Alderman Norman 1657 - 1724 (Old Catton) and Mayor of Norwich? in 1714. (I have a pedigree which documents the sons down the line as follows) The surnames down the tree are Thomas Mace (father of Anne) Thomas Gardiner + ? George Gardiner +? Elizabeth Gardiner and William Chapman, then Elizabeth Chapman and Robert Witham, Mary Witham and John Durrant (John I have heard may be from Great Yarmouth), Edmund Durrant (married Sarah), John Durrant (married Eliza), Hilda KETT and Edmund Henry Durrant, Marjorie Butler and Edmund Walter Durrant (1918). If the Durrant line came from Great yarmouth is there any one who knows the records well? I would appreciate hearing from you.
