Interested in the following surnames:—
I'd be pleased to hear from anyone researching any of these, especially Mitchell and Grieve as I am struggling with those two. Samuel Mitchell was a bootmaker and married Emma Holmes around 1850 and their daughter Esther Martha was born 1876 (my Gt Grandmother) I am back as far as
Robert Grieve, born 1810 in Islington. He was a jeweller and his father George was a furrier. There is a Scottish connection with the Grieves but I don't know what it is yet! All the families come from Bethnal Green, Hackney, Walthamstow, Islington area.
If you can be of any help, I'd be very grateful.
