Samuel BAILEY was born 1792. He was twice convicted of burglary; at Smithfield in 1811 and at Bridgewater Gardens in 1816, he was sentenced to death but escaped with transportation for life. As the location of his two crimes are adjacent it is possible his birth could have been recorded at one of the adjacent parishes, but which one? If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
