Sons of Thomas MANNING (possible Vintner or Brewer): John Manning, attorney, married Charlotte HAZARD late 1700's . His brother, William Manning was a Goldsmith livíng in Worcester. John's son Frederick John Manning, attorney & became The Coroner of the Verge and Queen's Household 1830's - 50's He married Aurelia Muss. Their eldest son Charles Muss Manning married Henrietta Ellen Sophia Hodson at Cookham Parish church 1854 daughter of John Hodson. Audit Clerk. Somerset House. c.1820-40. CMM died late 1860's perhaps at Lambeth poorhouse infirmary. Children included Ellen Manning, Florence Manning, Emily Manning, Frederick J. Manning, Percy Manning, Walter E. Manning—Charles M. Manning. Manning family connections with Muss, Rev. Hodson of Thurnham and Sandhurst, Hodson Rugg, Elijah Williams (the chess player) Barbados (poss. surname Moore).
