I am looking for my fathers family. Very intriguing on his side. Little is known. His name was Raymond Russell LARKINS b.
9-4-1929 in South Bend Indiana, U.S.A. His father was Samuel Othen
Larkins b. 8-3-1897 in Woodstock Virginia, U.S.A. His father was John W.
Larkins. Least I always thought the "s" was at the end. I was raised with
the "s". But searching genealogy for sometime I know things get
dropped! But in a census taken 1880. It wasn't there. He was listed as John
Larkin b.1853 in Virginia. Married Malindia F. Mcwilliams b.1859 in
Virginia also. Also listed living with him is his mother Sarah Larkin
b.1829 in England as were her parents. She was widowed by 1880. His two
sisters residing there also. Annie Larkin b.1858,Emma Larkin b.1869 both
born in Virginia.
I would love to find more information. I have pictures with inscription
from Aunt Becky. Don't know which side. The Larkin(s) or McWilliams. Or
if she could have been John's sister.
I know if I can just click on just the right button. All the pieces will fall into place. "Hope to hear from some Kinfolk"
