I am emailing on behalf of my mother who has been gathering information on her grandfather Alfred Austin MANNINGS born in what is now Steyning in 1855, who was a clockmaker, as were several other members of his family.
Mum's great grandfather, William Mannings, born in Stenning, Sussex, was also a clockmaker and their marriage & first born was in 1839.
We would love to hear from anyone with connections to this family.
