I am looking for information on ancestors with the following surnames:—
Alexander - William and Robert born in the 1880's, William married Ethel Hunt, Robert went to live in the USA and joined the US army had one
son also called Robert.
Bennett - George Thomas Bennett born 1848 in St. Georges in the East and his father Frederick Bennett a mariner. George married Margaret Star - children Arthur W, Albert E, Edith Julia, Emma, James E, Margaret E, and George J all lived in St. Georges in the East.
Strahan - Mary Ann Strahan married Frederick Bennett 1841 in Hackney, father William Strahan Shoreditch area.
Hayward - Henry Gould Hayward a publican born c1810 Shoreditch, his father also Henry Gould Hayward. William Thomas Hayward married Charlotte Shephard c.1871, children Catherine, Ada Charlotte, Daisy, Gertrude and William T all born in the 1870s and 1880s.
Shephard - Edward Shephard/Shepherd born c.1814 married to Frances, daughters Charlotte, Theodosia and Phillis, Limehouse/Bethnal Green area.
Hunt - Ethel Hunt married to William Alexander 1908 in Poplar, Ethels father was James Hunt from Southampton born c.1841.
Star - Margaret Star from Tipperary born c.1852 married George Bennett.
Earswell - Sibethy or Sebethy Earswell
Cornelius - Cousins of the Alexanders, family lived in Abbey Wood possibly in the 1950s daughter was called Valerie.
