I am researching the name MORGAN, in particular John Morgan and Francis Morgan.
John was born in 1745 and on 19th Dec 1773 married Sophia Louisa MAGNIAC at St. Andrews-by-the-Wardrobe London. They went to live at Bramfield Place, Bramfield, Hertfordshire, in that year. This property was part of the Bramfield Estate owned by the GRANDISON family of Ireland and until 1769 was occupied by GEORGE BUSSEY VILLIERS 4th Earl of Jersey and became vacant in that year when he became the 7th Viscount Grandison. All 7 children of John and Sophia were registered for baptism at Bramfield Parish Church. On his marriage allegation made on the 18th Dec 1773 John is described as a gentleman. In 1783 he joined an East India Co. ship the "Sullivan" as purser and sailed from Deptford on 5th Dec 1783. John was drowned at sea in 1784. Sophia continued to live at Bramfield Place until she re-married Thomas GELLIBRAND at St. Olaves Church, London, on 23rd Nov. 1789 and they went to live at Stratford Grove, Essex. There were no children from this marriage. Sophia had been granted administration of John's effects on 10th mar 1786.

John's second eldest daughter Marianne married John HUBBARD of Stratford Grove in april of 1801, she died in 1851. The eldest son of this marriage was John GELLIBRAND HUBBARD who became the 1st Baron ADDINGTON

Francis MORGAN (believed to be brother of John was born in 1742 and was a mathematical instrument maker and had a shop " The Archimedes and Three Spectacles" at 27 Ludgate St. (now Ludgate Hill), London in 1770. He married Ann of Kentchurch, Herefordshire, in 1770 and in 1772 they went to the British Factory in St Petersburg Russia. All there 7 children were baptised in the British Chapel in St Petersburg. Francis was connected through business to John HUBBARD & Co. timber importers. This is the same John HUBBARD who married Marianne (née MORGAN). Ann died in Russia on 21st mar 1786 aged 43 and was buried on 24th mar 1786. Francis died aged 60 and was buried on 16th sept 1802.

I am seeking the ancestors of John and Francis MORGAN in an attempt to connerct them to the main tree of the TREDEGAR family of Newport Wales. Both John and Francis carried the TREDEGAR crest.

I am hoping that somewhere in the vast resources of the Web there may be someone who can give me a clue to complete my search.
