I would like to share my interests.
Jane JENKINS (b. c.1830, Westminster, London).
Had baby Robert (no father named) but column scored across firmly.
There is family folklore that Jane was "waylayed" taking her father's lunch to him at the river/docks!
Married John PRICE on 10 April 1853 at the Parish Church in the Parish
of St. Marthew, Bethnal Green, Westminister. Jane's Father was Robert
JENKINS a Carman (deceased). Jane was living at Pleasant Row at time of
marriage. (Witnesses - James and Mary Wright)
John Price was a widower aged 42 and Jane a spinster aged 23 at time of marriage.
Has anyone come across my Jane in their research? John and Jane Price shifted to where John had come from - Dudley and West Bromwich (Worcester/Staffordshire) and Jane's illigitimate baby (Robert) just mingled in and nobody knew or worried in later years.
The illig. baby Robert (now named Price) married Hannah GROOM on 6th April 1874 at West Bromwich and Robert's half sister Eliza Jane Price married Samuel GROOM (Hannah Groom's brother). Confusing??? Those four and their families came to New Zealand.
Best wishes to all, and I hope to hear from someone!!
