Joseph MANSELL married Mary SPENCER in Liverpool abt 1826 - but 1851 and 1881 census both state his birthplace as Southwark. He and his descendants were watch case makers and engravers in Liverpool, maybe enamelers as well.
Son Joseph Henry MANSELL may have been in Southwark/Walworth area abt 1850-1855 (where he married) - maybe to apprentice with a family connection, 1794 Directory (Kent's) has a MANSELL entry as "Japanners".
We are looking for Joseph's birth in Southwark and his parents if possible, or any connections to MANSELL.
