Looking for information on the Dark / Darke family of West London up to the present day.

Many of the family were connected with the game of cricket, less so as players, but as the manufacturers of cricket bats and balls.

One of the Dark family, James Henry, was the owner of Lords Cricket Ground from 1834 to 1865. Many of the family lived in the St. John's Wood area as well as in Paddington, Marylebone, and later in Hampstead, Hackney and Finchley.
