I am looking for George SANSOM b. C.1807 Sunderland, but convicted 1829 London, for stealing a leg of Mutton. George was a butcher, he was
transported to Hobart in 1830 and died in Ballarat, Victoria. He ran the "Blue Flag Butchery & Grocery Store" in Ballarat for many years during
the goldrush. He was supposed to have worked for "Big Clarke " as a bookkeeper ( could be London or Hobart ). Big Clarke's Uncle had a
butchery in London.
Cannot find him being born in Sunderland. Very few people of that name there. Can anyone help ?
