I am looking for birth information on John CRESSALL, born about 1736/37. Probate records list his age as 84 at the time of his death in 1821. He was married to Jane KNIGHT, 10 Sept 1769, in St. Mary Whitechapel. She died 8 Nov 1783. He then married Eleanor WARD, 19 Nov 1783 in St. Mildred Poultry, St. Mary Colechurch. He is listed as an undertaker at #5 Whitchapel Road in 1790, in the London Directory. The name of the business was Cressall and Company. The name later changed to Cressall and Bradley. A man named George Cressall (married to Ann Kingdom(n)) is listed as a business partner earlier than 1790 in a glazing business then a partner in Cressall and Company. John was a witness at George and Ann's marriage and George a witness at both of John's marriages. I can't find burial information in the parish records of St. Mary Whitechapel, so assume he was buried somewhere else.
