Researching the family of Captian William POWELL. William and his brother, Nathanial Powell, came from Southwark, Surrey, England, to America in 1611, as part of James City, VA. Nathanial was a Gov. one of the first. William had a son, George who married one Alice ELLIS on 8th Nov. 1614, at St. Giles at Cripplegate. George and Alices' dtr. Anne Powell, married at St. Giles a William PARKER and immigrated to VA about 1630.
