I trace my direct line back to John WALL born btw 1570-1600 England. He came to Virginia Colony 1610-1630. Suspect he was soldier as when purchased/granted 1700 acres Ward /Chippoakes in Virginia was referred to as "Captain" John Wall of Charles City. 1st wife unknown. 2nd wife Elizabeth "Clay" FREME of Holland. Married abt. 1623 after her first husband John Clay died.
Names connected to family (Fleming/Bates/Kilpatrick/Clay/Brown(e)/Alford/Russell/Faulkner.
I am trying to find out anything I can about him/family/military record. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
