I'm trying to trace my birth surname of JEFFERISS. My father, grandfather and great-grandfather all worked for the Port of London Authority (PLA). I know very little about my fathers family and would like to find out if I have any other relatives. I've recently found some 'lost' relatives and we would like to find more as we think there may be others on the other side of the river. The family that I know of come from the Poplar area, but apparently my great-grandfather was from the west of london. We are trying to put together our family tree, so any new information would be greatly appreciated.
