My grand mother was Mayla Lilian Davis daughter of Elizabeth DAVIS wife of Thomas William Davis the son of the carriage lamp maker. After their marriage they lived in South Woodford, Essex. Following the death of Thomas, Elizabeth married James BULL. I am trying to find my grand father who had 3 illegitimate children, one of which was my mother, Ruth Monaghan-Coombs. This appears to be a maufactured surname as no others exist before her generation.
