I am trying to find my grandfarther's parents so I can send for his birth cert. He was John Lane born 1851—1853 he came to N.Z. on his own and was killed
while working on the railway in N.Z. 1905 age 52, on his death cert his parents were Henry and Sarah Lane, Sarah's maiden name was Barnes, I have
got my search down to 2 names but i can't find the Sarah Lane's surnames.
Henry and Sarah Lane 1861 cen. they had a son John Lane they had a son John Lane, their address was 12, Aldenham Str., St. Pancras, Somers Town, Middlesex.—Henry F. and Sarah Lane they had a son John Lane 1861 cen
age 5 years adress Henry F. Lane age 27 born Somerset Sarah Lane age 22 born Middlesex.—William Lane married Sarah Barnes dec 1855 in St.
Olave Southwark. He is the only Lane I have found to have married A Sarah Barnes. On John Lane's death crt., his father's name Henry Lane,
perhaps Henry was HIS SEND NAME. I found all these married in the marriage intent files but it never had the mother's maiden names.
I hope some one can help me.
