RAKESTRAW: My deepest ancestor (maternal) that I can trace is William RAKESTRAW (b: 1653), Henley-on-Thames, Oxford, England. M: 7 SEP 1763 to Grace WYRON in New Windsor, Berks, England.
William died 5 JAN 1718 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At least one daughter is Grace Jane RAKESTRAW, b: 7 Jun 1674 in Cornwall, England.
RAKESTRAW name changed to REXSTREW (with Joseph "Job" REXSTREW), at least by the date of his birth in 1767, in Burlington, New Jersey.
William RAKESTRAW would be my 9-G Grandfather and I am fascinated with learning more about my UK roots beyond 1653.
