I am interested in the history of the Ferry family from Bethnal Green. My mother's maiden name was Ferry and she is, I believe the GGGrandaughter of Edward William Ferry born in 1811. He was the son of John and Mary Ferry and was one of 13 children. I am particualerly interested in the possibility that they were descended from the Huguenots who settled in the Spitalfields / Bethnal Green area and who were involved in the silkweaving industry. I have some details on the descendants of Edward William Ferry. I am also intrigued that with the surname French, I may have French ancestry on both sides of the family ? I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has any further information about the Ferry's of Bethnal Green.
