I am descended from Richard Osgathorpe (known here also as Osgatharp) who was supposedly the son of a hatter in England and was kidnapped and ended up in North Carolina as a indentured servant (or something like that). Richard served in the Revolutionary War (I have copies of his Rev. War pay vouchers and records from the North Carolina archives). I have yet to place him in England to further the line back to who his parents were, etc.
